"The journey between Pasto and Tumaco was like a physical and visual search across the Pacific territory and its sensory and chromatic possibilities. Although I work across different mediums, I'm interested in thinking of the image as the consequence of something previously traversed. Photography and video function as records of unrepeatable experiences, while the body remains as the measure of every action and as the space where thought also transforms. My work stems from displacement and physical experience as forms of knowledge. More than representing a landscape, I'm interested in moving through it until perception shifts and another way of relating to the world emerges."
