KANOA BAG

The Kanoa bag is more than an accessory: it's a cultural journey between the ancestral and the contemporary, designed to accompany the moments that matter. Inspired by the canoes that once traveled the Caribbean trade routes, Kanoa serves as a vessel of memory, movement, and identity. Handcrafted by three artisans from different regions of the Dominican Republic, the bag establishes a dialogue between tradition and innovation. Its body is woven from waxed cellulose strip—a flexible and resistant material historically used in transporting goods and for various trades—whose wax finish provides durability without sacrificing its tactile and organic qualities. The handles and lining are made of vegan leather derived from cactus, a sustainable alternative that honors the earth and contemporary values.
